One Great Hour of Sharing - Donations being accepted throughout the month of May

One Great Hour of Sharing is an offering that makes the love of Christ real for individuals and communities around the world who suffer the effects of disaster, conflict, or severe economic hardship, and for those who serve them through gifts of money and time. Today, projects are underway in more than 100 countries, including the United States and Canada. In the 1990s, receipts have exceeded $20 million annually. While specific allocations differ in each denomination, all use their One Great Hour of Sharing funds to make possible disaster relief, refugee assistance, development aid and more.

World Mission Offering

It takes prayerful vision, planning and partnering to send the right missionary or development worker for the right task to be effective in meeting a country’s spiritual needs. And with your church’s help through the World Mission Offering, that’s what International Ministries does—year after year—all over the world.

International Ministries partners and projects depend on your gifts to the World Mission Offering! Your gifts directly support the entire network of IM missionaries, staff, projects and partners in 70 countries around the world! Pray for them! Through your gifts, you are helping to grow and sustain workers around the world.

Rise to the challenge! Give generously through your church offering.

Retired Ministers and Missionaries Offering

The roots of RMMO go back to the mid-1930s, when American Baptist congregations received a Communion Fellowship Offering on the first Sunday of each month to support retired ministers, missionaries, their widowed spouses and elderly clergy within their churches. In 1977 American Baptist Churches USA launched the Retired Ministers and Missionaries Offering (RMMO) to continue this time-honored tradition of expressing thankfulness.

This year our theme is The Grace of Giving.  Through the simple yet profound act of giving, American Baptist churches can share in an act of Grace that reminds the ministers, missionaries and widowed spouses who served so faithfully that they are remembered with love and gratitude.

The offering supports those who have dedicated their lives to God’s service by providing emergency assistance in times of need and a thank you check at the end of each year. We hope that RMMO will continue to serve as a joyous tradition for ABC congregations and that you will be greatly enriched this season by The Grace of Giving.
