Children’s Choir
We are so excited to introduce this new program
that will be starting next March. We look forward to meeting you and/or your children in person. In the mean time I would
like to take this opportunity to let you know what we are hoping to do with the Children’s Choir.
This choir is for children in pre-k
through the sixth grade. I know that sounds like a large age range; but we are hoping that if enough children are
interested that we can create two choirs separating the older and younger children.
We want this to be educational and fun.
So the children will be involved from step one. From music selections (both Christian and secular music will be taught)
to programs for performances. We will learn to sing with and without accompaniment. We will work with clapping rhythms, simple
instruments, CDs, and piano/guitar if I can get an accompanist. Hint, hint, if any of you parents want to get involved this
would be a great way to do it!
To introduce myself, I am a pre-school teacher
at a Christian school. I am not a music teacher, but I lead the weekly Song Time at my school. I love children, music, and
singing so this seemed like a wonderful opportunity to do what I love.
The Children’s Choir will start the week of March 14, 2010. More information will be added
to this site as March gets closer. So check back for more information and we hope to see you in March!
