We've begun our next Book Study on "The Shack", by William P. Young!
Welcome!
Our purpose is to offer a forum for those who want to share in a journey of exploration. We want this be fun and, at times, challenging. The fun comes in sharing our insights into the various themes contained within the book. This forum will offer each of us a chance to share those insights with others and through that process new insights and discoveries will be made. The beauty of this format is found in its granting each of us the ideal time to participate. Since there is no “designated meeting time,” each of us is free to offer our thoughts when it is most convenient. The downside of this format, however, is the lack of face-to-face interaction. To help mitigate this, we will be offering two public meeting times when folks can come to the church and discuss what they have been feeling and thinking about the book. The first will come at the midpoint of our study and the second will serve as our conclusion. At these two meetings will benefit from meeting people whose insights have been shared but whom we have never met. We hope you enjoy this forum and will tell others of this opportunity.
One last request. If you would send along any suggestions you might have as to how to make this a better experience, please send them along. And should you have a book you would like to suggest for our next study, we would be thrilled to hear from you. Thanks for your interest and we hope to have you be a part of this new venture.
*PLEASE NOTE: You do not need to submit a blog to participate, but this is meant to be interactive. The blogs will be posted as they are submitted by chapter so that you will not read ahead unless you choose to do so. You may submit more than once per chapter if you'd like to and/or you may choose to submit to only selected chapters.
